The Arquette and Gere white wooden bedframes and the Newman pine bedframe have been carefully selected for their classic good looks, strength and value.

Made from incredibly strong and sustainable Rubberwood the Arquette and Gere have a very sturdy sprung slatted base supported by a metal centre rail running the length of the bed which itself is further supported by metal support legs. Overall the materials used and  method of manufacture combine to make these elegant white painted bedframes one of the strongest contructions available.
The Newman solid pine bedframe, to be found in our Beds Special Offers section, has also been chosen for it's strength and beauty. The Pine slatted base is re-inforced with a thick solid pine centre rail again running the full length of the bedframe.
It is important to note that pine trees are a very common source for manufacturing but the quality varies depending on where the trees are grown. In Scandinavia and the colder regions the trees take longer to grow than of the hotter regions. Slower grown trees result in a stronger timber. This is often visually apparent in the timber lines being closer together in Scandinavian pine as opposed to being more spread in the more rapidly grown pine.
