Faux, or fake, leather is a low cost, very up to date man made P.U leather immitation. P.U is short for Polyurethane . Because of advancements in the making of faux leather it has become very difficult, visually or feel to tell the difference between modern P.U and the real thing. Another advantage is it's simplicity to maintain compared to real leather. The occasional wipe over with a lightly dampened cloth is all that is needed to help maintain it's good looks over an indefinate period. The faux leather bed in our special offer and especially the Wayne and Windsor, in our faux leather beds section, are covered in high quality P.U. All are of a very strong construction with sprung slatted bases and metal centre support rails. |
