Divan Bed sets consist of a deep divan base with a matching or contrasting mattress. The main purpose of the divan base being a raised consistent overall support allowing you full benefit from the all important mattress. All our divan bases are of strong construction and are upholstered in quality fabrics. There are various storage options including, 2 Drawer, 4 Drawer and Ottoman storage. Sprung bases are available on request (please see our contact us section), although we feel this is a largely needless over complication. For example, an orthopaedic mattress will feel less firm on a sprung base, while a medium firm mattress will feel yet softer with give underneath. The quality of the mattresses on our divan beds are of such a standard we feel there is little to no benefit of an added spring unit in the base. We beleive that the overall benefits of the mattress should remain within the construction of the mattress. |
